Worst West Ham player ever?*

*Not worst signing...the player who you constantly thought: "how is this bloke a professional footballer?". Only one name allowed.
For me as , coming in off the back of our most successful period, and also being vaguely aware of the Cottee / McAvennie partnership a decade or so earlier, as a 14 year old, Iain Dowie partnering Paolo Future was a huge "what. the. fuck is this." moment.
A definite trier, but in terms of natural talent, prob one of the worst I've ever or will ever see.

Dan,
Quinn played over 100 games for Sheffield United so he must have had something. I never fucking saw what it was though. Going straight from us into non league while still in his twenties must be pretty unique.
Savio probably has to be up there too though, if we are taking into account career trajectory after leaving.

Got to be Boogers. I saw him in a pre-season against Farnborough Town (or was it Woking? Can't remember) and he put himself about a bit, didn't score but was lively enough. Then he was on the cover of Hammers News with an expression on his boat that seemed to suggest he'd won a prize to play professional football in a raffle. I had a slightly uneasy feeling (not helped by Redknapp admitting he'd signed him after watching a video) then there was the Man Utd away disaster where he "put himself about" straight through Gary Neville's Achilles tendons and that was that really. I defy anyone to name a footballer, let alone one that played for us who was a bigger parcel of crap.

Anyone who says anyone but Wayne Quinn doesn't understand football. All the others were footballers who played badly while with us, didn't have the quality for the division we were in or were past their best days. Quinn just wasn't a footballer in the first place.
